Julie Staveley-O’Carroll has been studying Guinean West African dance for over 20 years. She began taking classes in the US around 2000 and was inspired to travel to Guinea for the first time in 2013 to learn about the dancing and culture from the source. Julie is just returning from Guinea after an intensive study with Youssouf Koumbassa, a world renowned Master Teacher.
This will be a high energy workshop of dancing. Your yoga attire will be perfect for this class. Julie will share choreography with you from a select rhythm/dance from Guinea. This will be a beginner class. Come with an open mind and be ready to have some fun:-)
